Communication

Home and School Communication

We have many systems in place to promote good communication amongst parents, students and staff.

Agendas – Grade 1-3 students are supplied with an agenda. These are used to communicate special events, homework or other information to home. Please ensure that it is checked daily.

Weekly Parent Bulletins (Grizzly Gazette) – A weekly bulletin will be sent out to parents via Synrevoice each Monday as well as posted on our website.

School Messenger– A automated system using either a call or email notification sent out to parents for a variety of reasons ranging from the Weekly Parent Bulletin to a permission form for field trips to an EMERGENCY situation. It is imperative the school office has “up to date” information on file to ensure this system is effective. Please contact the school office whenever phones numbers/email addresses are changed.

Website – www.ecoleparc.ca – is full of information including, calendars, special events, community events, forms, and eTeacher pages.

Twitter – Follow us on Twitter @ÉcoleParc

Instagram - follow us on Instagram  @ecoleparc

Email – Staff can be contacted through email. All addresses use the first name, separated by a period followed by the last name (lower case). The name is then followed by @eips.ca For example –
joe.smith@eips.ca

Remind  - Grade 4 - 6 teachers use Remind as a tool to keep in contact with parents through text messaging. Please contact your child's teacher to see if they are implementing this in their class.

Powerschool News...

Accessing the Parent Portal

All parents of elementary students and those who are brand new to the division in any grade will receive a letter from the school outlining the information needed to link the elementary student to the existing parent account and/or set up a new parent account. Once the parent account is created, you will not need to create a new account each year. The account information will follow your students as long as they are enrolled in an EIPS school.

If you have difficulty creating a new Parent Portal account, an instructional video is available on the Parent Portal login page at https://powerschool.eips.ca/public/home.html or on the division website at http://www.eips.ca/powerschool.

Please note that at the elementary school level, only student attendance and student fees will be available through the Parent Portal. Ongoing assessment will continue through the eLuminate program outside of PowerSchool.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the school.
